This is the vision that drives me.
This is the change I want to bring forth into the world.
This is what keeps me awake at night and gets me out of bed in the morning.
A world without hunger
A world without poverty
A world without ignorance
Basically Star Trek…
and here’s the nightmare that haunts me…
There are no video game companies in star trek.
There are no marketing companies in star trek.
But worse…
There are no new movies
here’s why
There is no money on earth.
There is no reason for people to work a job they don’t like between robots and replicators
There is no reason to work.
So getting over two hundred people together to light, direct, build sets, design, advertise a movie, video game, etc is just something that won’t happen.
In our reality we are bound together because we have to provide value to receive value. If we don’t work, we don’t eat. We put up with the mundane, dull, soul crushing jobs because that’s what you have to do.
Someone (maybe me) will need to create a model of doing business in the creative field that is fundamentally satisfying without profit incentive. Because I like movies, books, and video games and without the organizational power of a company the quality would be capped at indie film, auto correct, and flash(post 2020 you can read about it in the history books). There are only so many hours in a day and companies create the highest quality because they can leverage the force of a thousand lifetimes onto a single project.
Right now I need more to begin the experiment
and so I’ll continue to work and poor resources into editing and marketing so that I can launch my writing studio and bring this vision into the world.
