IMO The Thousand Cock Stare

The Thousand Cock Stare is a term in the Manosphere referring to the look of a woman who has not only hit the wall but has ridden the cock carousel so much that she has destroyed her ability to pair-bond and be satisfied with any partner for long.

Hot Take:

The premise is flawed.

Imagine your mind is a boat on a wide open ocean…

The older you get the more cargo you take on, the bigger that ship gets.

The problem is that the manosphere says that pair bonding can occur after the age of 22 if only she has kept her partner count low.

The flaw in this premise is that if the ship at 30 is an oil tanker

the manosphere believes that at age 22 the ship can still easily right it’s sails

but by that point in a persons experience their ship is the size of a cruise ship,

It’s course is largely set and changing direction is easily and faster than that of the tanker,

But the capacity for pair bonding has already been determined.

UNDERSTAND I am not advocating grooming or pedophile.

at this age an adult woman will have had 3 years of experience in relationships and much less baggage.

This isn’t a question of pair-bonding because by and large I don’t think pair-bonding is a given trait. Since many cultures exist just fine without strict pair-bonding relationship and our society at least the working class portion will see it dissolve into either religious based pairs and secular open relations.

This is a matter of learned and repetitive behavior.

Why does Trump want his name on the checks?

Two reasons:

First he is egotistical and understands that his name being associated with the relief will but trust or more trust in his well cultivated personal brand that TRUMP equals SUCCESS.

Second anyone who opposes secretly or openly this relatively benign action will be removed from the treasure and the federal reserve of which Trump has power over.

Is this a good thing?

Depends whose side your on

For a staunch Anti-federalist as myself. This is a harmless action with a net zero impact.

For a Democrat this is another reason to dislike Trump… which has a net zero impact on the way you were going to vote.

For a Republican this is a victory for moral and bragging rights, possibly allowing closest conservatives to support Trump behind his more vocal base.

For the 46% of Americans who didn’t show up to the polls in 2016, because they have tuned out of politics and government in general. This may tip more votes in Trump’s favor come NOV 2020. After all his opponent has been a sitting member of congress for over two careers and has zero name recognition with this turned out apathetic majority.

It would be a better democratic strategy to press that Trump’s name is on the check and therefore he is taking personal responsibility for those negatively affected by our current crisis.

But they won’t do that or at least they won’t do that well enough to gain an equal portion of the 46% apathetic votes, that this move will give Trump.

Final thoughts

Love him or hate him Trump won because he understands how to spin success out of straw and he knows that all publicity is good publicity.

The worst thing anyone can do is not talk about a thing

The second best thing in marketing is if someone talks bad about that thing

And the best thing is if someone trusted talks well about that thing.

The Replicator Defense

I want to live in a Star Trek future.

A world free of poverty, hunger, where all the sovereign nations co-exist peacefully.

Universal Basic Income (UBI) would be a step in this direction. But when talking with my fellow trekkies who believe we are living in a world of scarcity they fall quickly onto The Replicator Defense.

“Of course they have no poverty or hunger in Star Trek. They have replicators. They can just make food out of thin air.”

If there is anything that upsets a nerd more it’s the type of statement that invokes the response.

“Ummm… Actually.”

Replicators and even Protein Re-sequencers existed after the abolishion of poverty. In Star Trek canon this is due to the drastic decrease in population after World War 3. With a high level of technology and a massive decrease in population resulted in the creation of a post-scarcity society, with little to no governing authority preventing a drunk, Zefram Cochrane, from re-purposing a nuclear missile into a warp capable spaceship. (for fun)

Replicators just make the system easier… they were not the catalyst for the change in the first place.

People have a hard time accepting that with current farming techniques we can sustainably feed the worlds population (7 billion) three times over before we run into a scarcity of land over the preservation of unique and local ecosystems. We don’t have a resource problem. We have a distribution problem. We have an incentive problem.

There is no automatic incentive for feeding and housing people.

Capitalist hotels serve good food so that they can get repeat customers and earn a profit.

Communist hostels serve people good food because they depend on the social benefit those patrons add to the commune. If John starves he won’t be able to raise the hogs that make my favorite bacon dish.

Feudalist inn’s serve as quarters for the lords militia, a way station for merchants and travelers. The Inn-keeper was born into keeping, maintaining, and services expected of his position or else face punishment from his lord.

Egalitarian societies have never grown large enough to require the creation of a hotel/hostel/inn.

UBI creates a floor of value on every individuals life, regardless of birth, skill, or ability. It quantifies the charitable notion that no one deserves to starve to death for lack of resources as having value in capitalist economy.

No American Citizen Deserves to potentially Starve to Death.

That is why I support the Freedom Dividend as proposed by Andrew Yang.

A letter to my highschool economics teacher.

I’m glad that my meme’s are provoking thought but they are first and foremost propaganda so that my friends and family believe and value themselves more than how a company treats them poorly. While my pay is mathematically (according to inflation calculations that include medial and housing) far below the media income of the 1950s or the federal minimum wage that was set in the late 70s, I love my job. I only work three nights a week and earn enough to pay my portion of the bills. It gives me the time and opportunity to work on my novellas and pursue a career writing stories that hopefully will promote literacy for men age 18-25, who have been taught by school that reading is for nerds and girls.

Now onto what I really think about businesses in general, they are not evil organizations out only for the bottom line. Meritorious advancement exists as a function of a healthy market, If you are not advancing your best employees your competition will. They will gain market share and put you out of business. If you treat your employees to poor they will quit and you will be unable to preform the companies function. These are the reasons why we have such great working conditions.

Yet people need to understand that if they are using cognitive dissonance to excuse their company they must separate their identity from the company before they can make healthy decisions regarding their life. Most my memes are to this point. The company is out for profit not your welfare.

I truly believe we are kept from a full communist revolution because most companies are public traded. Rational people understand that a company exists to provide a good or service and that the CEO and board make decisions to maximize the profits for the share holders. Such shares that can be purchased by the very employees that the company employees. For example US Foods, which just purchased the company I work for, has 25,000 employees and 35% equity retained within the company. Which means that 65% is publicly extended for purchase at about 40$ per share, IF the employees wanted to they could become the principal shareholders for $12,500 each. If they want 51% collaborative voting rights that would be 65,800 each. But they don’t, they have the choice and they would rather keep their coin then make their company work for them. Publicly owned companies dominate because they have the power of the people financing them, their is a hard cap on the resources a privately owned company can call to bear.

I use this argument to explain why a CEO deserves 250x the wage of the lowest paid worker, because his/her wage is determined by the value added to the shareholders whom the low wage workers choose not to be.

Second and this is the point of most of my memes, If a company is treating you unfairly. You need to leave. Because unlike buying a car when an individual is negotiating with a company they are actually negotiating not for themselves but for the next guy. I have been made aware of companies that have raised their starting wage because after months of finding suitable candidates that turn down the offered position due to pay and benefits.

If you’d like an IRL example at my wife’s work, she has received healthcare benefits and pay raises because other people have left her position and stated healthcare and pay were their primary concern. Is she still underpaid, according to similar market positions, yes by about $2 per hour. But she loves her job and we do not work for money. After her company raises benefits and wages, they do not call back old employees who left over those concerns. Instead the new hires and my wife reap the rewards of people making the best market choice for themselves.

Now let me explain why the freedom dividend will do so much more to improve a healthy working relationship between employee and employer. 1K per month is not enough money for an individual to stop working and enjoy the offerings that minimum wage work provides. People will still work if they want cable, Netflix, internet, Iphones, dinners out, etc. But it will Provide courage to those who are in low wage jobs that barely pay the rent to ask for more or leave thus providing more the next guy. It is just enough money to prevent homelessness and allow people the freedom to move away from the Democratic socialist dens of NY, Denver, CALI and form smaller communities among the country side, with a guaranteed income moving across state lines to pursue employment at a job that might not work out is less of a threatening proposition. Many people are moving to CO because we offer higher wages, we do so because we have higher cost of living, Some will be able to move back after saving money for a few years. Others will never be able to move back because the wages offered by their home city wouldn’t be enough for them to make minimum payments on their credit cards.

Okay enough of that,

I use OpenOffice writer (Apache suites) and spell check through e-mail, a free writing software with no spell check.

And yeah I hope in the future people are working not because the choice is that or starvation and homelessness but because like me they enjoy the work they are doing.

Because until I can raise enough funds through selling my novellas to open a studio dedicated to their production, I need a day job. I’m a True Plantser.

And this is the process I use.

Which is both frustrating and exciting.

I start with the problem and a question what would happen if?

Goblins used guns, Miners discover a dragon egg and abandon their contract, A duke is on a hunting expedition to slay a dragon,

Exciting because I don’t know how my stories will end or what turns they will take.

Frustrating because I thought it was going one way but no it went another.

Fiction unlike reality, or this blog, has to make sense

So I have a loose outline, but I have to keep the characters fidelity high. Which means that if a character is about to act out of character just so I can have everyone hit their marks and move the story back to the outlined path, I won’t go there. Sometimes that means my characters demand I scale a vertical cliff or walk through a dangerous marsh rather than stick to the simple well laid path.

When I hit these difficult patches, I do a lot of thinking. What do I need to do now? And I work though in my head over a dozen or two dozen unwritten paths, until that eureka moment hits and the wall is scalable and entertaining. Then I do that.

Though I am still a little sore that I was unable to use pirates in my last story because. I had them roughly outlined, their motivations, weapons, etc etc. But the characters on stage demanded more screen time and had a far more interesting tale to write. SO I put those pirates back in the cupboard and when I get a chance I’ll see if I can use them to spice up another story.

Oh man I am going to have to rewrite this post a few times to get the words as they should be.

Let’s talk about energy, time, knowledge, and resources(money usually)

First you were excited about all the things you learned. You had all the energy in the world and nothing seemed like work. You were too young to even have a concept of work itself. Life was just a series of let me try this now. Now this. This way. Oh that’s new let me try that. You had the time, the energy, but had no concept of what knowledge you needed or what money was.

Then childhood was over and puberty started. And suddenly you knew everything, you found yourself surrounded on all sides by the incompetence of those in authority around you.

Parent’s just don’t understand

Yet even though you knew everything you were still learning at a rapid pace. You would discard poor information for better information without a struggle, you had no concept of ego but figured this was the way to do things from now on. That was in keeping with your self concept of knowing everything. You had the energy. The knowledge basics. The time though that was kept from you by obligations like school and fun Resources either went to affluence or to enjoying your time.

It’s in this stage I was sold one of the biggest lies of my life. That “Real Life” began after high-school. Then I got that diploma, Turns out your still a child till your thirty. Then your not an adult until…. UNTIL… UNTIL. It just keeps going. Your either a child or an elder there is never an in-between.

If you take anything away from this. Take this “High School” is “Real Life”. If you wait for real life to start because you think it has a different rule set not only will you be disappointed but you’ll be behind the game. The only real differences are that your body may not be finished cooking til your older and that things can be different once you have money. But the personality you leave High school with will be your personality for just about ever. So take the mission of getting the personality you want.

Now- back to the Now

You have found that you have enough energy and time to go to work forty hours, sometimes sixty. And if your lucky in this late stage capitalist nightmare then perhaps your banking a decent amount of resources. But in all likely hood you are spending what little excess you have on inflating your happiness to put up with your work schedule. Congratulations, you don’t have the time or energy, and even if you have the resources you’ve lost the knowledge.

The knowledge you’ve lost is that you don’t know shit. Motivational life coaches and other carpet baggers will sell you the dream. One quick trick to fix your broken life. You pay the resources and get a high of inspiration but the high fades and so you chase another hit from a different dream seller.

The problem is your Ego. You’ve been successful for so long in the status quo that secretly you don’t want to change a thing. Because if you did, honestly, you would have. You’ve met the basic needs of Maslow’s hierarchy and while you strive to complete the second tier before you can reach the top. You’ve been holding yourself back.

If you can work sixty hours for a paycheck then why can’t you work for yourself six more?

What do I want to do?

Who am I?

Where do I want to be?

Ask the right questions and fucking accept the answers. I don’t want to write books but I have to. I don’t want to work in a warehouse but I need to. These are the things that make me … well myself. The more I stay true to how I am the more energy I seem to find. The less resources I need to spend on happiness. The more open I am to receiving knowledge that helps me without having it conflict with what I already have in practice.

In Maslow’s hierarchy Self-actualization is at the top. To be taken care of after all other concerns are addressed. But you’ll be spinning your wheels if you don’t answer that need first.

Ask the right questions and accept whatever the answers are

By doing that you will create the energy,

You master the time,

If you know how to use google the knowledge is at your beck and call.

You may not have the resources, but that means you need to ask smaller questions.

Not just because you are going to need to sweat doesn’t mean that it has to be something that isn’t inherently fun.

How to do a Lyrical Breakdown

What is “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish about?

That is what the thorn I was going to remove from my brain today but..

But while crafting that analysis and researching if anyone else has already created such a work, the reality that no one one the first three pages of google has anywhere near a decent analysis is a far greater thorn.

If you don’t understand the language of a song

then you are listening to this song

and if that is the case all you should concern yourself with is the mathematical patterns in the harmonics… the deviations in the scale and the chords used… phonetically you can ignore the lyrics

but if you think in the same language as the song be it Thai, Portuguese, Pigeon, or Engrish

then listening to that song whether you are actively paying attention or passively distracted is almost the same as having those lyrics as your own thoughts.

This is why lyrical analysis’s are important. If you don’t think in the language of the music then the song is gibberish

But if you do…

And you want to ask someone what these thoughts mean…

That is not an unreasonable request.

As with any Art there will always be at least three meanings.

The first is the Author’s intent

This song is about taking power in a relationship

The second is the Listener’s personal interpretation (in this case mine)

This is a song about sexual abuse and the victim trying to take control of their victimization by trying to convince themselves that they wanted it. While struggling with the shame of being both a victim of the abuse and being socially punished for attracting such abuse.

Then there is the general interpretation

using as much data as is possible what does this song mean to a typical Gen Z, Millennial, or the population at large. What culturally relevant shared experiences do these demographics have that would frame the piece of music in question?

This is the type of breakdown I was going to do…

I’m not because it bothers me more that either no one knows how to do this type of breakdown

and no one even bothered to even give out there own personal interpretation.

Because if I had a few Gen Z’er’s personal interpretation and a few Millennial interpretations plus the Artist’s intent then a general interpretation would be relatively easy for me to triangulate.

SO FINALLY

here is how you analysis a song with your personal interpretation

First let the audience know what the Artist’s intent was. This will build credibility for the argument that your personal interpretation is the correct one.

Now present your interpretation

“Bad Guy” is about the singer pretending to be meek and girly in order to attract strong men who have fragile ego’s and can’t handle a real powerful woman.

Then using the lyric’s provide evidence for your position.

If you are actually and objectively trying to answer the Question

What is “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish about?

Then you will need to provide as many frames of reference as possible.

Gen X will see this song very differently than Gen Z

and then explain what it would mean to them and why

Gen X many of them might remember listening to Aqua’s “barbie girl” for the first time at their child’s birthday party and being horrified to hear their child singing along.

Baby Boomer’s haven’t heard this song

Millennial’s have an awkward position

and Gen Z likely knows about the Artist’s other works and how her process is not just herself but she comes from a musical family… which has impacted the shaping of her lyrics significantly. Billie Eilish is a master of her vocal craft but the source of her lyrics is highly collaborative.

that is the type of analysis I wanted to write but limited on the resource of time.

Creating Milestones that take less than a mile…

There are many terrible things about being a writer. My gripe today is about milestones and deadlines. While all of these are self imposed and I can change them tomorrow if i felt the need. It is important to use them.

I don’t like it but it is none the less important.

I started writing ages ago and never finished anything. Then in 2017 I was left with only one choice if I wanted to continue to be an entrepreneur and work for myself. I had to write. I don’t want to write… It is not the most enjoyable thing I spend my time doing.

But it is the only thing that I have enough resources and skill at that it was worth pursuing. Also it solved a huge problem in my life.

The lack of decent male orientated novella length pulp fiction. If penguin publishing was still commissioning new or similar series to the Trailsmen then I would never have picked up the pen and instead refined perhaps my programing and game design skills.

But they didn’t and here we are.

My first book took over a year for only about 42K words… I know that I should have been able to finish it sooner but I didn’t know how to do. My second book took six months and my third and best book so far took only four. I should be able to get a book done every three months at a pace of 8k a week and so my next book will be ready by the start of September.

What does this have to do with milestones well I found that these milestones work for me. 600 words take a break. Finish scene take a long break. Keep track of my progress towards my deadline am I behind, ahead of schedule, or right on target.

In school I’ve always been a do it at the last minute type and the fear of failure has been a good focus. But with no publisher and audience breathing down my neck for the next Song of Ice and Fire, I have to manufacture my own fear.

The first thing I do is increase the demanded production to much higher than I can handle. It’s overwhelming but I’ll try to get 8k words done today and another 8k words tomorrow and another 8k after that. I took an extra day off of my part time job that pays my full time bills so that I could have the day to write. This helps keep that pressure on… I enjoy work and the bills it pays. I now have to prove that taking that day was worth forfeiting the steady days pay in exchange for higher production on my novella.

If I’m successful at reaching my word count goals than this book 4 will be draft a month and a half before I expect to publish it. Allowing my more time to edit and apply wordcraft polish before I send her off to the editor. While at the same time will remind me of the extreme work flow that I’m capable of and draw ever closer to my goal of having four more quality novellas done before June of next year.

And gee I wish these words counted but they don’t this distraction has cost me 30 minutes I should be writing,

Fascism is virtue according to Aristotle

Now,

Political centrism has gotten a lot of bad press recently and its not going to get better anytime soon.

But political centrism is not the same as fascism

extreme centrism is fascism though.

Political centrism is the people stuck in the middle saying things like we should pay taxes to support roads, education, and cushion the blows of the free market/tragedy against members of our society when they fall on hard times.

Fascism is a large governing body that has extensive and unaccountable control over the nation state that it rules over. The fascists decide who gets a helping hand, where and who builds the roads, and who gets educated in what field. They do this according to their own world view without much input from those being governed.

The right of the political spectrum is not fascist. The further right you go the larger the individuals sphere of influence over the matters in governance. Your town would decide where to build the roads, if to build and maintain a school, and who qualifies for assistance from the taxes raised. You could literally walk into a town hall meeting and demand an increase to the minimum wage, if their are enough people in your community who agree with you and support your proposal. Boom new minimum wage.

The left is not fascist either. The further left you go the smaller an individuals sphere of influence but the larger the scale of policies once enacted. If it would cost your town of 100 to build a road costing $100,000 dollars that is $1,000 per resident but if your road was part of a larger network say 500,000,000 people. The cost per payer for that road is far less than the smallest unit of currency, or the entire thing is paid for by a tax levied on an excess of profits that exists somewhere as a result of the flaws in free market systems.

The far left can lead to fascism because the further left you go the more control you surrender to the whole of the governing body and therefore the more likely that a fascist style government can arise. Once a fascist government has taken control they never give that control back to the lower levels of government, free market forces, or individuals.

The far right can lead to fascism because once fewer restrictions are placed on legal organizations and greater autonomy is given to individuals, the more uncertainty you create. Uncertainty and the Unknown cause individuals, businesses, and groups to become afraid. Fear leads to individuals yielding their authority and autonomy for security. If you’re afraid you’ll starve to death if you don’t accept a job that pays you a slice of avocado toast once a day, you’d probably take that job. And they will continue to shrink the ratio of avocado toast to work preformed until your employer has reached the bare minimum to keep you productive, profitable, and alive. In an effort to create more certainty for themselves, those with the avocado toast will gather as much authority and influence as they can until they have become fascists.

What does this have to do with Aristotle and virtue?

Aristotle defines a virtue as in between two extremes in behavior.

The most common example given is in between cowardice and recklessness lies courage.

Therefore in between the left and the right is the virtue of centrism.

As explained before once a governing body has gone too far left or too far right it will self correct and that governing body will become fascist becoming neither left nor right on the political spectrum, but by strict definition a virtue.

Aristotle virtues must be practiced and are not innate.

It is a practiced virtue to eat only what you need.

To not over-consume or starve yourself.

But if you have no choice in the matter it is not a virtue.

If you never have the opportunity to over eat at a buffet or you are withheld food though famine, then your choice in the quantity consumed is not a virtue.

So if you have the opportunity to make a difference in politics but you do nothing, you are not virtuous

If you don’t have the opportunity to make a difference in politics, you are not virtuous.

If you have both the opportunity and you use it well that the virtue.

Basically stop alienating centrists because they are left or right from you on the spectrum.

How come in 2019 have we come to recognize gender as a spectrum but policy has become binary?
